Happy Candy Day!

Adam: "Twick or Tweap"

Stranger at door with candy: "awww aren't you a cute little Tigger!"

Adam: "More Candy?" ::bats his big brown eyes and smiles at the stranger::

Stranger: "aww you are ADORABLE. Have some more candy."

Adam: "Thank you!" ::runs away with his little tail behind him::

And this is how we ended up with about 5 lbs of candy!

Matthew sleeps through the best events!

The two best friends!

Weekly Wrap

1) Next week is the LAST week of classes for this trimester. Wow, 6 weeks went really fast. As of today, I have an "A" in both classes. Then I am onto two gen. ed. classes. woo!

2) Graduation is this weekend. I can barely handle it. I start crying when I think about it. I'm going to be a mess. haha

3) My son is 2 in eight days. That makes me cry too.

4) The words Adam knows amaze me. He used about 10 new words in a matter of a half-hour last night. We were reading one of his books, and he pointed out things I never knew he even knew; Including: "Point at people" AND why in the world is he forming phrases!?!?

5) This is the LAST weekend for farmers markets; I can't believe it!

6) Halloween should be fun this year! We're working on "trick or treat," with Adam but he prefers "More Candy, please."

7) God is Good. If you want to know why, you can ask, but He is just so faithful....even when I am not.

8) Matthew is eating the remote, right now. Wow, I forgot about these days.

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Glowing Angels

Angels GLOW right?

Glow is Picture This' Thursday's Theme, and I am lucky to have 2 little angels. Here are my glowing angels:

Shine on over to Picture This, to see more glowing photos!

Update

Ok, here's my update on the curse of the threes:

A's car: Picked it up this evening. Apparently they didn't have the tires or the rims he wanted in stock and when they ordered them yesterday, the other store sent the wrong ones! ah! So, he got an upgrade in tires and rims.

Here's the hotness:

Ahh...yes, complete with a crown in the center. Pimped out. Hot. sigh.

My Car:

Some blue magical goo went into my lovemobile last night. I drove her today and things seemed to be a bit smoother. Keeping my fingers crossed.

My third and final yuck of the week:

My health. It's a little on the rocky side right now. I talked to my doctor on the phone and we are going to work on figuring out what's going on. I don't really want to go into too much detail (no worries, I am not going to die... lol) but I'm praying things work out. :)

Teething:
Oh yes, it has begun. I just had him, right? He's not almost 4 months old. He can't be getting teeth. No I am in denial. He is drooling, eating his fist, fussy, and his gums are swollen and red. AH! Why do they grow up so fast?

All things come in threes....

I should know that when things are going well, that bad is just around the corner. Since Andy and I have been married, that's the pattern of our lives. The bad is never anything too terrible (not often, anyway) but usually something dealing with finances, relationships, or our cars (which usually leads to finances). SOOOOOOOO guess which one it is this time? haha. Cars.

Remember when Andy hit the deer, right before Matthew was born? Well, the car has been hurt yet again. This time he hit a pothole (hmm going too fast perhaps?) and blew TWO tires and dented TWO rims. So, he decided he needs to just replace all four of EVERYTHING. I wonder if he realizes that money doesn't grow on trees? Anyway, he is getting rims that he describes as being "hot," and those thin tires seen usually on sporty cars. Mind you, he does NOT have a sports car. He wishes. He has "pimped his ride" some, but it's still just a plain ol' Honda Accord. NOT a Honda S2000. Besides if it were a S2000, it would be my car. haha. Needless to say, we've put more money into this stupid car in the last three months than I even want to think about.

Next.... MY CAR. AH! My baby, my Jeep, my lovemobile (I call it this because I love it so much... not for any other reason... haha)..... Looks like her transmission is going. The car is very jumpy and doesn't like changing gears. Oh we can get a new transmission for $1,000 or so, but why would I do that when we only paid $6,000 for the car and with the high mileage that is on it. I don't want a new(er) car. :( I want my baby to be better. Hopefully it won't have to be replaced; the husband still needs to take a look at everything. Maybe it's something less severe?!

Third- hmm...can I use someone else's ailment if it impacts my life too? lol If so, then I have three. If not, then I don't want to know what else is going to happen.

It's a.....

G I R L !!!!!!!

I am proud to say that I am going to have a niece! yay! :)

Michelle says the baby (who does not have a name as of yet) is 12 oz. and measuring well all the way around.

I guess I'll have my girls through my sister. haha. :)

Andy's Graduation Slide Show (edited)

Ok, I posted this already, but I fixed it! Woo! The music works all the way through and it's perfect. woo! :) Enjoy :)

Thursday Theme: Star

My little sister and I attended an awesome concert, this evening. She won FRONT ROW, tickets to see Relient K, Switchfoot and Ruth (Christian Rock, for those of you who have no idea who these bands are). It was amazing. I've not had so much fun in awhile.

ANYWAY- Star.... Switchfoot had this amazing backdrop that fit perfectly with today's theme. I tried to get creative (with my cool new camera) and take various pictures of this backdrop. Here's my TT photo (s):

Oh, and of course... one of Ash and I :)

Blog Action Day

Bloggers Unite - Blog Action Day

So I am a little late on this, but at least I am still posting on the right day!
Today is Blog Action Day. A day where bloggers unite, by informing the world about a very important issue- the environment.

So today, I decided to show some pictures of us enjoying the environment this weekend. We try to do our part, in protecting the World in which we live, and not adding to the many issues, but who knows what it will really take to open the eyes of the world.

Here's Adam and my niece, Kayleigh, enjoying their environment:

Spiders!

(Supposed to be doing homework...shhh...don't tell the husband ;) )

Went to the pumpkin patch today, took a lot of photos (to come), and..... PICKED A SPIDER OFF OF ANDY'S HEAD (wooo....screaming....got scared, sorry).... I was ever so calm and said "ew babe, a spider." I then picked the spider off of his head, had it in between my fingers, realized I was holding a spider, began to scream and say "Oh, Oh, Oh, I am holding a freakin' (yes, my version of a bad word, and I do actually use it) spider!" Promptly threw the spider and then ran around like the girl I am, in complete disgust. I then reminded Andy of the love I have for him... because I wouldn't pick a spider off of just anyone.

Funny? I think not.

Back to homework.

Oh Snap! Weekly Wrap

Ahh I almost forgot the weekly wrap- Thanks Amy!! :)

Here we go:

1) My brain is MUSH, can you tell?

2) Have yet to get my test results back, from Tuesday...hmm should I worry?

3) Sick baby= sick toddler :( (Which might mean no asthma??)

4) I got my Christmas present in the mail today, and I am SO pumped. Yes, I know... Christmas is two months away... butttt... I was able to negotiate (oh yes, I really had to work hard for this one) a new CAMERA out of my husband, and with the next two months filled with so many things, I NEED to new camera now ;). So, I got a Fuji FinePix E900 (no that's not how much i paid for it, because I am a bargain hunter... but this page had a good description of the camera). I have yet to take pics with it yet, because I need to learn what all of the fancy modes do. And, I promise not to drop this camera! :)

5) I did Christmas shopping this week- how weird is that? Still seems like it should be July. haha.

6) School stinks.

7) I just bought an Express skirt, with tags on it ($49.99) at the thrift store for $2.99. I rock.

8) Anyone know how to turn a power point into a movie file??? I really want to share Andy's slide show I made with you all!!!

9) Pumpkin patch this weekend! :)

10) This week is going to be insane. Wish me luck! :)

I leave you with a picture of Ashley and I at youth group on Wednesday night. I had two new kids ask me what grade I was in....sigh....... (oh, oh...check out my cool owl jacket!)

He is so.....

checking out Bean.......

Doctors Appointments, School, and More!

This week has been ever so eventful, thus far! Here's what's going on:

1) School- I'm so tired. haha. I know I shouldn't complain but it is SO hard to do schoolwork with the kids. And then once Andy is home, I don't want to do work because I want to spend time with him. It's a bit frustrating. I just need to get done. Hopefully I only have this year and a little bit of next year, to finish. I need to look into that.

2) Andy School- The countdown is on. Every time I think about his graduation, I start to cry. lol I think I am almost as proud of him as I will be when the boys graduate from high school (and hopefully college!). He has sacrificed so much of his life to do this, and I know he did it so that he could provide to the fullest for myself and his children. And above all he did it earning honors!!! See, this is a big deal because Andy HATES school. He is naturally smart and I think he allowed that to get in the way of doing any work. He just always knew the answer, so he never wanted to work for anything more in High School. Needless to say, he didn't do as well as he could have in High School. So, for him to be graduating on the Dean's list is just spectacular!

Anyway- T-minus 18 days until Graduation and 11 days until the party :)

3) Doc Appointment- I was a good girl and went to the doctor yesterday for a physical. I had a whole slue of blood work done, got some pills to prevent more babies (until we're ready again...in 200 years), had my heart checked (she said I had the heart beat of a runner! woo hoo for my tae bo and for the mile I run everyday), and I was told to gain some weight- only 5 lbs or so (never thought I would EVER be told that). AND- I got my flu shot....which made me feel a little cruddy last night.

4) BABIES- One of the 10 million people I know, who are pregnant, found out she is having a GIRL! :) Congrats, Lynne! :)

A week from today my sister finds out what she is having! :) I can't wait! I think I'd like another niece, just to even things out (I already have 2 nephews and one niece).

I leave you with a picture of Adam and my little sister Emily.... Just a cute pic, I think:

Happy 3 Months Matthew!!!

Happy 3 months, Matthew! Mommy and Daddy love you VERY MUCH :)

This is the best pic I have just to show how big he is. He's finally waking up and I am starting to see what his personality is going to be like. He is enamored with his older brother and loves to smile and laugh. He is very ticklish under his chin and loves to cuddle with mommy.

It's amazing how fast they grow...

Sleeping Handsome (A Matthew Update)

How in the world do they sleep in such positions? One Of Matthew's favorite places to sleep is in this swing. He kicks all of the blankets off (notice the blankets on the floor) and hates the belt latch, all so that he can get into this crazy position.

He did fairly well today. It was still along day, however. Anytime a child is sick it's rough, especially when they can't tell you what hurts or what's wrong. His coughing is about the same and I kept tylenol in him all day (so I have no idea if the fever is really gone). He would barely let me put him down and even napped on me for about an hour or so this afternoon. Mind you, I like the cuddle time! :) While I was at class tonight, Andy was able to get him to sleep in his swing. That might be where he sleeps all night, too! Overall, decent day. Not any worse, but not any better. I shall keep you posted!

Just look at that cute little face. :)

(These pics where taken with the night mode on my camera- I am impressed; his room is pitch black!)

BSM

This is a collaborative BSM between Andy and I this week. He took the shot, I played around with it and changed it up a bit. The coloring was a little odd and it needed cropped. So, I fixed that a bit and it turned out to be one heck of a shot. Enjoy! :)

Urgent Care and Cupcakes

Nice title, eh?

So we had an ever so eventful weekend. It wasn't all bad and it wasn't really terrible, just crazy. Hmm All of our weekends are crazy.

ANYWAY- Urgent Care first.

Friday night Matthew started off with a little cough. I wasn't too too worried, because he didn't have any other symptoms (no fever, runny nose, etc). So I just assumed it was a little cold. Then as the weekend went on, things got worse (go figure). Anyway, we went to church today anyway and I just decided I wouldn't put Matthew in the nursery. Halfway through church Matthew was hacking up a storm, so I took him out in the lobby. Aunt Ashley was out there and asked to hold him. Right when she took him he started vomiting everywhere! IT was TERRIBLE. It's bad enough to have kids puke, but seeing a little 3 month old do it is VERY scary. So, I called the doctor who promptly said "take him to urgent care." SO we did. After being there for almost 2 hours they said he has a pretty nasty upper respiratory infection (which baffles me, because he's still breastfeeding some and should have the immunities...who knows). BUT the doctor was very concerned about his exczema and family history of asthma, apparently the two go hand in hand. So, the doc said that this cough might be the onset of asthma.... which would stink. I am praying it's not that. So, he's on tylenol and there's a humidifier in his room, for now. I have to take him in to the doctor this week, to find out about this asthma issue, though. Pray for my little man :)

Cupcakes-
Happy note! Adam, mommy and daddy made Halloween cupcakes this weekend and had a blast. Just look at the pictures. We are a creative bunch ;). Can you tell which cupcakes are Adam's creations?

Yay for a new week!

A-D-A-M

Adam spelled his name today!!! I can't believe it! He said "A-D-A-M, Admum!" UGH! He's getting WAY too big.

Weeky Wrap

1) After an hour and a half of taking pictures, Matthew didn't want his photo taken anymore... hence the photo to the left. Poor guy.

2) Did my first speech, for class this week. I got a 96%. I rock. :)

3) The weather...can we talk about the weather, people? It's ninety degrees outside, and it's autumn.... I think the weather is confused.

4) School and two children: I am doing it, and I haven't lost much sleep.

5) SPIDERS. EVERYWHERE. And yes, they are still mocking me, laughing at me, and being their hairy little (or not so little) selves.

6) Bean and Adam are SO cute!!! They played so well at playgroup this week. I don't know what Adam would do without his little girlfriend!

7) I have a physical scheduled for next week. You know having my cholesterol checked, heart, white blood count, etc. FUN! I am pretty sure I am healthy, but hey... it's a free exam, so I figured I should just do it.

8) Why is it when Andy stops losing weight, it's my fault? hmm... if I recall someone only worked out ONE day last week. hmmm.... Mind you, he works out in the gym at his work, so I have no influence on this act. But it's my fault.

**EDIT**Ok, I know how losing weight works... if some of you forgot I did weigh 180 lbs at one point in my life. The point of the above comment was that he was blaming me for him not losing weight- which is not fair, since I don't hold a gun to his head and make him eat or work out. I just thought the blame game was funny. And, I can't make him understand how it works because he just wants to lose it, which I completely understand his frustration. That number can really mess with a person's head, even if he is losing inches and gaining muscle! **END EDIT**

9) Adam turned 23 months yesterday. sigh. Only one more month.

10) Matthew will be 3 months next week. SIGH.

11) How is it toddlers just turn into REAL people all of the sudden? He tells me when he has to pee pee, he has real conversations (that make sense!!), he doesn't need me to put his shoes on him anymore, he can dress himself, he eats everything (pretty much) we eat for dinner (spicy food is his favorite), he can play by himself without needing me, he can open doors.... he's a little boy :(
