Books!

Books, books, and more books....My little man has always loved books, and we certainly own MANY! But recently he has re-discovered his love for the library.

Daddy took him to our local library (which we had yet to join, because we were still going to our old library in a different county), and Little Man got his FIRST library card. He is so proud of his library card, and loves giving his card to the librarian. He's already checked books out, on two occasions, and he's only had the card for five days. Mommy and daddy got new library cards, too. :)

Today we went and saw the puppies, at the pet store. Daddy is missing the puppies we had to give away, I think. I think he's hoping Mommy will fall in love with one and want to get another one. Little man seems to be afraid of the dogs, especially the ones that want to love on him. haha. I think we'll stick to visiting them at the pet store.

His Own Person

Getting ready for brother, learning how to do many new things, say new things, and be his own person; my little man is growing SO fast! I can't believe that in just a few days he'll be 17 months old. It seems like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. It just amazes me how time flies- and how I wish it wouldn't!

Today we decided to go out for dinner. Little man had cheeseburger and fresh fruit... oh, and half of mommy's dinner. Why does he always go after MY dinner?
He never eats daddy's dinner... it's always my dinner. I don't get it.

We also bought a bed rail, for the big boy bed... AND he FELL ASLEEP!!!! We didn't even have to go in there and talk to him about sleeping in the big boy bed or offer the crib. AMAZING what $17.00 will do for you, these days! haha. I went in and watched him sleep for about 10 minutes. I had to leave, because I was going to cry if I didn't. Again, growing so fast.

This weekend seems like it will be a relaxing one, thank goodness. I think we're just going to have some much needed family time and rest a bit! Next weekend we help Nana and G-pa move into their new house. And, of course, it's Easter (Pa is taking little man to the Easter egg hunt, at church!).

Time certainly flies, when you're having fun.
