The Last 48 Hours

(This is Ryan, a friend of Andy's from High School. He is now a youth pastor and used to youth pastor at our church...with my sibs...small world, eh? I am not sure what Adam and Matt think of him. I think this photo is hilarious.)

Here's our last 48 hours-

*Ashley is HOME! We've seen her twice and I can't even tell you the tears that have been shed, the endless hugs, and the growth that has occurred within her heart. She has truly, truly, grown! They are leading a church service on Sunday, and I will try to get pictures of her then. Can you believe I've not gotten any? oops.

* We've been to Chuck E' Cheese

* We've been to the zoo

*We've gone swimming twice

* We've had a big party/dinner for Ashley

* Tomorrow I am taking 35 "care bags" to the kids on Ashley's team. I have yet to buy the things for the bags...meaning...they are not put together. Wish me luck! ha ha.

* The boys both have colds. Snot everywhere. It's gross.

* I have been without coffee for two days. If you know me...this is bad. bad. bad. I am trying to ween myself. I doubt it works.

* I need sleep! ;)

**Go check out, The Land of K.A., today's Theme Thursday is FUN!**

God Bless you Britt for the wonderful dinner you prepared today for all of us! Yes it has been a roller coaster of emotion since Tuesday night. Everything does feel different with Ashley. I have yet to wrap my mind around it. All I know is that I am her Mommee and I love her deeply and I MUST TRUST that God has her in His hands and is working amazing things in her life now. I am so wishing I had experienced this in my youth I feel cheated! :-(

GREAT unrefined photos! Yay, for your sister being home...I bet you are a happy camper. Maybe that is offsetting your caffeine withdrawal. ;)

Trying to ween yourself from coffee? Is there a reason for this? Perhaps a #3??? ;)

Wow. That is a busy week. And you got some gorgeous pics out of it too!

Welcome home, sis!

Have you seen the movie "World Trade Center"? If so, do you remember the part where the guy dreams (or temporarily passes over) and sees Jesus with a bottle of water?

Well, soon you are going to start seeing Jesus with a cup of coffee. :)

Good luck... I just started drinking coffee a year ago and can't imagine life without it!!

Girlfriend, I am so sorry you can't drink coffe...and so glad I'm not at your house first thing in the morning. ;)

I quit drinking coffee eleven years ago. It's totally possible...but I won't lie, the craving NEVER go away!

Hiya darlin'!! I am sooo jealous that you got to see your sister. Reunions are the best. *sigh* What a fun coupld of days with the family though. The pictures are just oozing with fun. Except Adam on the ride at Chuck E Cheese (?) he looks bit dubious.:-) Good luck with the coffee thing. I had to cut back a while ago so I have one cup in the morning and decafe for the rest of the day. I was actually getting dehydrated from drinking too much! Coffee that is. Oh and maybe wine too......:-D

Oh my...you've done all that in 2 days AND with no coffee!!! That is crazy girl! Good luck in quitting...I've just given into my addiction since I don't think I will ever get past it! Oh, and that second picture with stuff dumped all over the floor? That is so my life every day!

Looks like you've had a blast this summer! I wish mine was as fun-filled as yours. My hubby is working 6 six (56 hours and two hours on the road each day!) days a week so we haven't had much free time for fun. =( Maybe....someday...our (his) life will slow down enough for us to enjoy it. Good for you though! Oh and about the coffee thing- kudos to you. Keep us updated on your progress with that one. ;) I'm afraid I wouldn't be much help for ya there (I like my coffee!)!
