Today's conversation

So, I am very strict about letting Adam watch TV. He gets an hour a day (or two shows); usually one in the morning, while I make breakfast and one right after daddy gets home, while I make dinner. Well, this morning he woke up and this is what we talked about:

A: "Tv, please?"

B: "What do you want to watch?"

A: "Tv shows, mom" BIG SIGH....

Well, duh, I guess I should know that he wants to watch TV shows. He even had to add the "mom" in there; not mama or mommy, but mom.

wow, you are good. bean watches about 2 hours a day... sometimes more now that i'm pregnant. sigh. of course right now the tv is on and she is galloping around the house so she isn't always "watching" it....

Since I don't restrict, my kids go through phases of watching a lot to not watching it at all for days. We really enjoy being able to tape with dvr and watching just our favorites. I think tv gets a bad rap. There are many wonderful things kids learn from it.

C'mon Mom - DUH! that's too funny.

Nadia really doesn't watch any tv. She's not interested in it...which I'm glad she's not totally addicted to it, but at the same time I would LOVE to use it for 15 minutes of calm from time to time!

Rebecca is watching to much TV these days, sitting eating her breakfast in
front if it just now. She threw the biggest toddler tantrum over it the other day because i turned it off. Sometimes though the chill time can be great
