Adam was All ready to go to soccer, this evening. He packed his bag, got his water, put on his gear (5 hours early) and waited...waited...waited....
He mastered SITTING on the ball....
He "listened" to coach Travis (Who is my cousin!) ... hand on hip, and all....
Matthew helped out with the water.
And was VERY sad he couldn't play!
All in all, Adam had a great first practice. We need to work on the whole, "no hands on ball" concept, and we need to make him understand that he HAS to run after the ball if he wants a turn at kicking it. AND he needs to not have an epic meltdown, because he's being told what to do by other people, other than daddy and mommy. Ah...learning authority!
On the way home, he didn't stop talking about his "new friends," and about how he wanted to go back next week. So, even with epic meltdown, I think he had a great time. He sure fell asleep fast this evening. YAY! :)

that travis?!
He did a good job and next week he will do even better.
He'll get the hang of it eventually! So cute when little ones play soccer!
so glad he had fun!
That's right, wear him out! He sure looks cute just sittin' on the ball though... ; )
Amy read my mind...THAT Travis? hehe. Adam looks so darn cute! Evan was rotten for our first music class and then later that day he goes, "Friends? Guitar?" and it's like "What? You liked it?!?" LOL...
Look at that big kid! And the wanna-be big kid. Love the hand on his hip.
I'm so glad he felt better in time for the first practice! That's so cute!!
Fun times!! He'll be a superstar before you know it!
What a cute little soccer player he is! :)
WOW...he did GREAT!!!! My lil Quaid wouldn't do anything except kick the ball in the goal when he was 3!!
GO ADAM!!!
Soccer is so fun! My son keeps asking to play and we keep signing him up. I am really not sure why because most the time he is the kid picking the flowers and grass and he doesn't want to share the ball so if anyone else has it, well you know all about the melt downs.
They sure start em young there! I don't think the kids start soccer here til they're over 5 although I could be wrong cos I don't have boys :-) When the BA started netball it was funny to watch this little clutch of tiny kids all chasing the ball all over the court hhahahaha. It's great to get them involved in sport though. So glad he had a good time.
Fun!! My daughter has started playing and my son is also having a hard time not being able to play.
Our second game is tomorrow...so funny to watch! :)
Awww..... go Adam!!!!
