Oversleepy. So Not Sleeping.

I am overtired. I allow myself to get this way, sometimes and it stinks. Stinks!

So, I got up this morning and trotted (oh yes, I trotted) over to Panera and cranked out 12 pages of nonsense, on communications in starting online businesses. Let me tell you, it was ever so exciting. Really.

I then jogged (oh yes, jogged) home, to help the hubby with the garage. SCARY. SCARY project. We found such an array of goodness, in the garage. We found many tools, many computer parts, cords, paint, wood.... oh wait... it was ALL Andy's! Ok, so it wasn't but it sure seemed like it. We did find a purse here and there and some of the kids' outdoor things. Seriously, I have no idea how this garage got to be so bad. It was a death trap. It was packed to the gills. It was a FIRE HAZARD! So, after an entire day worth of work we threw out two vacuums (non-working), various larger items (old paintings, car parts, broken miscellaneous items, etc. etc.), and probably around 15 LARGE bags of C R A P. It was pure insanity. And now....we have a wonderfully organized and CLEAN garage!!!!! Andy still needs to arrange his tool area, but that should be cake compared to what we encountered today. (I shall take photos later!)

So now I sit here at 12:38 AM waiting to feel sleepy enough to sleep. I could write more papers. I could finish many other small projects. No. No. Instead I sit here and blog while watching SNL (Seriously, is this show really this stupid? It used to be funny, right?!).

I also started thinking about cleaning out my underwear drawer. Yes, you read that right. Law School Hot Mama talked about her need to buy new undergarments. Since reading her post, I realized I too need to partake in this activity. No not for my underwear, but my socks. I have the most pathetic of socks. They are either holy (and not the blessed kind) or they are brightly colored with cartoon looking characters on them. I think it's time I buy normal socks. I'm old enough to have big girl socks, right?

Ok, I think I have rambled enough! :) Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

HAHAHA - holy socks and not the blessed kind.

My socks look sort of sad, too, but that's not as bad as owning beige underwear. *shudder*

I'll have you know I wore a HAWT pair of underwear I found at the bottom of that stupid drawer, yesterday! HAWT!

Indeed I remember the day when I hung out a pair of knickers on the line and realised I had worn them in high school. It was 6 years since high school at that point. Now I regularly throw out and replenish both the sock and underwear drawers. I mean, a girl's entitled to a few good quality fundamentals. Right? Good luck with that ;-)

Too funny!

Consumer Reports did a study recently and said that bras from Target are the best value and most comfortable - that beat out Victoria Secret and a bunch of other expensive ones...who would have thought?! I see a shopping spree in your future...

I hate when I am not sleepy and yet have the intense desire to sleep. I am not above some PM medication though - desperate times call for desperate measures!

I challenge you to a gargae-off! I bet mine is twice as bad right now as yours was before your cleaning spree. Haha! It needs to be overhauled soooo bad.
LOL, your socks and underwear sounds about like mine! I'm on a missions to de-frumpify!

Oh the garage is SO my nemesis. It's seems like we clean it out at least once a month... my husband did it a little today as a matter of fact.

And the socks - I could definitely use some new socks myself. Let me know if you find some good ones.

Yea, I don't read many posts about people's underwear! haha!!

Oh and the garage!! I don't know how many times we've cleaned out our garage!! Grr!! Only this last time I VOWED that I would not let it get bad again...it's going well so far!

So, I see you over-commit, too! ;) I do that, too. Sit up and watch tv and work on my computer when I should be sleeping. Then I get mad at myself when I am soooo tired the next day. Sounds like you got a lot accomplished, though, so good job!

I find that happens to me a lot... I get really sleepy during the day, then catch a second wind at night and can't sleep, causing a vicious cycle.

Sooo.. reading your blog today and I noticed you were doing a paper on starting an online business...

*blinks*

PLEASE... I'd love to read it! I'm trying to start my own and I have NO where to begin. :)

As for socks, I think Dumbledore says it best when he looks into the mirror and it's him, hold a pair of new socks. Nothing is better than new socks! Every year when I get my tax return, I buy all my kids new socks, new underwear and one new outfit. It's a ritual since it's the only time I ever have money to :)

I love your blog BTW...!
